Come along to squish some clay with me in this mindful, fun, handbuilding workshop at Urban Clay in Aylsham. We’re going to be coiling clay and to make a mug that can become your new favourite.

When: Sunday 2nd November, 2.30pm-5.30pm
Where: Urban Clay, 35 Red Lion Street, Aylsham
What: Handbuild a mug using the coiling method, then decorate it by adding clay pieces or impressing into the clay. You will add a handle and then paint it. I will fire and glaze all the pieces, ready for collection within six weeks.

We have eight spaces, for kids from seven years old up to grown ups (all kids to be accompanied by an adult, whether they are participating or spectating). There are no requirements to know anything about how to work with clay, all are welcome. Come and see the magic qualities of clay to entrance and absorb you.

The mugs will be fired and glazed by me and they will be ready to collect from Urban Clay in about six weeks time (so long as they survive the firing!).

Hot drinks and cake are available to buy at Urban Clay. You will be welcome to have them at the table.
